| One of those days... |
Today is one of the rare days where I feel like blogging. Its been ages since I last blogged and life went on and on for the past 2 months without my online diary.
There are times where I want to keep things to myself, just doing my work and communicate to the necessary parties. There are also times where I am a little bit loud and wants to tell the whole world what I have been up to. Today is one of them.
I have finally managed to find a day where I can be at home the entire day and do my planned activities. Most of the time, I am juggling between my beading classes schedule and working on paper work. Simple as it seems, there are just endless paperwork that I need to attend to. They became my daily routine to maintain my business.
I need to email to communicate with customers/students/suppliers, update my daily/weekly/monthy schedules and always be 1-2 months in advance with my class timetable. Because by the time I finalised my time table, release to the shops, mass mailed out to the students, all in all 2 full weeks are taken up.
Also, every month I tried to come up with at least 1 new class project, so we will always have "something new" to keep people happy.
Like it is not enough, I also need to spend time to do research so that I can pick up the right skill, brush them up, practice and practice, make samples and take photographs. After that, I also need to send proposal so that we all get to agree the rest of the details before we give more information to those whom are interested.
This is not including my online website and consignment. Yep, you are right. Running your own business is already not easy, furthermore it is a 1 man show. Hahaha... I call this itchy backside. But because of this, I have been having a great great time with my passion and work. Its hard to blend work with passion, but at least I am somewhere there.
And today had been great though, as I have finished 3 rings that I am planning to release for my July's new class. See picture below.
Still not perfect though, but at least I know what the problems are and will start to work on them as and when I have time.
While I am looking forward to my trip away, I am also looking forward to have time again to sit down and play with my beads. They have been calling for me for ages and I have neglected them for so long...
